The summer seasons brings with it huge numbers of tourists to Malaga, which in turn creates more jobs in the service sector. It has been revealed that nearly 15,000 jobs will be created in this sector in Malaga, in August. Rafael Prado, the president of the hoteliers’ association Aehma, has estimated that employers in the hotel and catering sector will see their turnover rise by 50%. As from July 1st, establishments in the traditional popular tourist municipalities of Marbella, Mijas, Fuengirola, Benalmádena, Torremolinos, Estepona, Nerja, Rincón de la Victoria and Manilva are permitted to open seven days a week until September 15th to meet demands.
