"Job hunting from a different country is never easy and identifying the  correct job without having met your recruitment consultant could potentially be a disaster as you don't really understand each other. Six months ago, I had resigned from a well paid job as an accountant in London, having accepted a role with a tour operator overseas. My desire at the time was to live in a Spanish speaking country to improve my knowledge of the language I had been studying for the previous 2 years. As I wasn't fluent, I thought that the travel industry was my only option. However, by chance, I came across the Wemploy website and sent my cv off with a covering email, expressing my desire to work in a role a little more suited to my experience and qualification.

Very soon after, I received an email from Karen, answering some of my questions and asking me some more to try and establish exactly what I was looking for. Several emails later, we decided that Gibraltarwould be a suitable option as it would allow me to speak my native language during working hours and practice my Spanish out of work by living in Spain. This was an option I would never have considered without Karen's guidance, knowing very little about Gibraltar.

This established, I received a call from Karen one day, asking if I would be available for a telephone interview the following day with a well established finance company. Three days later, I flew out for a 2nd interview and learnt a few days after this that I had been successful.

I have now been working in Gibraltar and living in Spain for 2 months and have absolutely no regrets. Without Karen's help and guidance, I would have been dealing with customer complaints and wondering where I would be posted to next. Instead, I am working in a role in which I believe I can develop and living in a country in which I feel extremely comfortable. I found Karen and Wemploy professional at all times and very helpful.
