An international life assurance specialist based in Luxembourg seek an individual to head up their compliance division.
The organisation, a public limited company, operates on an worldwide basis and is currently showing strong growth within it’s market sectors. With the recent launch of new innovative products and the launch of 10 structured funds it is anticipated that growth will continue in line with projected expansion plans.
As Head of Compliance, you will report to the group Financial Director with a reporting line to the Audit Committee and the Board of directors. You will be responsible for all matters relating to corporate compliance and regularity issues.
In this position, the Head of Compliance
Ensures that the company complies with all relevant laws, codes, rules, regulations and standards of good market practice in Luxembourg and any other jurisdiction where it operates.
Preserves the company from the reputation risk.
Is the moral authority ensuring the respect of the code of conduct and business best practices.
In this way, the company may demonstrate to its regulators and clients that it undertakes properly its business.
You will perform this role through adequate:
Documentation (Evidences).
Training.
Control & guidance.
Counsel.
This is a preventive role, with the incumbent expected to:
Set up and ensure the compliance with the code of conduct.
Set up the compliance guide with the necessary attached directives.
Ensure compliance with the regulators aspects and inform the management of the company accordingly.
Implement the necessary controls and reporting;
Ensure a follow up on internal, external audit and Commissariat Aux Assurances’ recommendations;
Be the contact person for compliance matters with the relevant internal and external authorities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and competent individual. Applicants will be educated with a Law or economic degree, or an equivalent experience. The successful applicant will have 5-8 years’ experience within a bank, life insurance and more globally, financial institutions with specific experience in compliance, audit, legal or control aspects.
Additionally, applicants will be Bilingual English, French with additional European languages being an asset.
Remuneration: Six figure salary plus bonus & benefits
